LAND is one of the research labs from the Anatomy Department of the Biomedical Sciences Institute from São Paulo University (USP). Its main goal is to investigate the neuroanatomic aspects of the physiopathology of pain on different behavioural models. , annalyse the potencial role of non-pharmacologicam therapies as alternative from conventional treatments, regarding possible changes in glia cells, cytokines, nitric oxide and a large range of inflamatory mediadors, correlating it to nociceptive behavioural models after acute lession and/or chronic lession of the gastrocnemic muscle and sciatic nerve.
